Sprint Offers Customers Early Upgrades to Close Out 2011, iPhone Included

Published

on

To close out the year, Sprint is offering customers in good standing the opportunity to nab an early upgrade to a good smartphone–with Apple’s iPhone included in the mix for selection–for a discounted subsidized price if they agree to sign on for another two-year service agreement. The ‘Upgrade Glee’ promotion is an unadvertised promotion that the Now Network is running from now until December 31 for the Premier service, which the carrier is soon to be discontinuing.

Premier customers  already able to take advantage of ‘Upgrade Glee’ through Sprint’s regular retail stores. Customers choosing to take advantage of the offer will have their next available upgrade replaced by this early upgrade–so no, you can’t cheat the system and have an early upgrade and your regularly scheduled upgrade in a two-for-one deal–and requires that a sales rep view your account to see if you qualify.

All CDMA handsets qualify for the early upgrade promo, but iDEN handsets are not part of the package.

Hopefully the promo will help Sprint drive more store traffic and sales as the year is coming to an end.
