Sprint Scheduling OTA Software Update for Motorola Admiral

The Motorola Admiral, which is capable of tapping into Sprint’s new push-to-talk Direct Connect standard, will be getting a software update for July 31st according to a leaked document. The update will be pushed to Motorola Admiral smartphones and users can install the update over the air.

Along with a number of bug fixes, the schedule update will deliver expanded Sprint Direct Connect coverage and will add features such as call logs for Direct Connect calls.

The Motorola Admiral is among Sprint’s first batch of phones and smartphones to feature Direct Connect and also features a full QWERTY keyboard. The phone is targeted at enterprise customers and businesses that rely on push to talk connectivity.

If you do not see the update on July 31, you can go into your phone’s settings and check for the update manually as well.
