Stunning Xbox One Bundle is a Halo 5 Buyer’s Dream

With the Halo 5 Guardians release date so essential to the future of its Xbox One console, many already assumed Microsoft had more planned to attract every single gamer it possibly can. At Gamescom 2015 this morning we learned a little bit more about that plan. For those excited for Halo 5 Guardians Microsoft has the ultimate keepsake coming, a custom Xbox One console bundled with a digital version of the game.

The Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition Bundle is available for pre-order beginning today at Amazon and at other physical retailers like GameStop. The console is tailor-made to fit the Halo 5 Guardians aesthetic. More precisely, the $499 console is designed to match the Spartan Armor of the game’s antagonist, Spartan Jameson Locke.

The console is dominated by three colors blue, light gray and dark gray. The blue accents on the front of the Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition console glisten in the light and are meant to match the blue visor of Spartan Locke’s helmet. Lines of blue foil run through the body of the console and the Blu-Ray drive that dominates the front of the Xbox One. The bundled Xbox One Wireless Controller that comes with the Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition has blue accents and a bright blue directional pad too. Microsoft has a green and gold controller coming separately for those who prefer Master Chief John 117 over Spartan Locke.

All along the front and sides of the Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition are small ties to Halo 5 Guardians. Indents and stylized shapes lend this console the same texture as the armor in the game. A honeycomb effect on the front of the console references every Spartan’s visor and helmet.

For anyone who hasn’t purchased an Xbox one already or plans to in the future, the Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition is an absolute dream. Though pre-orders are available now, Microsoft doesn’t plan to make the console bundle available to customers until October 20th. A digital copy of Halo 5 Guardians will come free with the game, giving players the opportunity to preload before the Halo 5 Guardians release date on October 27th.

The start-up and shutdown effects of the Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition console are different than that of the standard edition console. Right now, Microsoft is only saying that it has “custom Halo sound effects.” The FOTUS-class armor download, a Steelbook case, Metal Earth Model and physical book are all included too. The amount of storage included with this console is different from the others too. The Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition comes with 1TB of storage for games and apps. That’s double what’s available in the $349 Xbox One console.

All told, Microsoft seems poised to deliver a version of Halo 5 Guardians for users in any situation. We already knew there were digital and physical copies of the game with extras coming. This Xbox One Halo 5 Guardians Limited Edition bundle makes it easier for those who don’t have an Xbox One today to make the upgrade for a reasonable price.

Microsoft has tons of different bundles coming. Already there’s a Gears of War Xbox One bundle and Halo Master Chief Collection Xbox One bundle. Coming later this year are the Forza 6 Limited Edition Xbox One Bundle, Madden NFL 16 Xbox One Bundle, and FIFA 16 Xbox One Bundle.

The Xbox One costs $349.99 for a model that has 500GB of storage. $399 is the price for an Xbox One with 1TB of storage; and $499 gets users an Xbox One console and a Kinect sensor.
