The announcement is courtesy of T-Mobile’s support pages and it confirms the Galaxy S Blaze 4G’s Ice Cream Sandwich update’s availability which will be tomorrow through Samsung Kies or through a pull from the device’s settings though a notification will need to have popped up first.

Those who don’t wish to wait for the update will be able to pull it and install manually through Samsung Kies.

The Galaxy S Blaze 4G on T-Mobile will get its ICS update tomorrow.

The update itself will bring quite a bit to the table, including all of the features that come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a piece of software that is a vast improvement over Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich brings quite a bit new to the table including an improved user interface, an overhauled browser, Face Unlock, new enhancements to the lock screen and a whole lot more. All in all, the update is a massive upgrade over Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and worth installing for those who own the Galaxy S Blaze 4G.

In addition, the update will include bug fixes that should make the experience, as a whole, much better for Galaxy S Blaze 4G owners.

Here is the full rundown:

Improvements

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Mobile Hotspot Icon location fix
  • Add Email option fix

Before owners can install, the phone will need 50% battery life, 20MB of memory and an unrooted device. Presuming those prerequisits are met, owners will then be able to download and install Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

And once that is complete, then the wait for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean begins though we don’t expect to hear any news about that update for quite a while, if at all.

Enjoy the update folks.

Thanks, _____!

Thank you for the info. I was on the fence about buying the Blaze as a no contract but didn’t want to give up my ICS.
