The Samsung Galaxy S6 release date continues to take shape ahead of the April 10th release, as we’ve seen countless details emerge, pre-order pricing, and additional information from carriers. However, today a brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge deal has emerged that should help give the T-Mobile version an edge-up on the competition.

On March 1st Samsung took the stage in Barcelona, Spain to announce the brand new Samsung Galaxy S6, and the surprisingly refreshing Galaxy S6 Edge. Both came after months of rumors and leaks, and the company ended the event by confirming the April 10th release date around the globe, and in the United States.

While Samsung confirmed April 10th was the date around the globe, that isn’t necessarily when all carriers in the United States will offer it, but all five major US carriers have confirmed they’ll offer the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. One of those, is T-Mobile, who’s been very vocal about its network, how it has improved, and what is has to offer. However, today they’re talking about the Galaxy S6, and announced an impressive deal buyers will want to know about.

Galaxy-S6-Netflix

This morning on Twitter, John Legere CEO of T-Mobile, made a huge announcement that should have millions of potential Samsung Galaxy S6 buyers extremely excited. The CEO revealed that if you buy the new Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge on T-Mobile, you’ll get 1-year of Netflix absolutely free. That’s a huge deal, considering many pay upwards of $7.99 per month for the service.

Legere states you “can” get a year of Netflix for free, so we don’t have all the details just yet, or if there will be some fine print making this deal less appealing than it sounds, but we’ll have to wait and see. More details will surely be coming soon, especially with the April 10th date near. Overall it sounds pretty straightforward though. Buy on T-Mobile, and get 1 year of Netflix for free.

Of course there could be some that are ineligible, like existing customers or something of that sort, but we’ve yet to learn all the details regarding this impressive Samsung Galaxy S6 deal. That said, most likely nearly everyone will be eligible, as T-Mobile’s been making a big effort to get as many customers on board as possible.

One year of free Netflix is valued at well over $100, which is pretty impressive, and something many buyers should be excited about. Getting one year to watch any and all content on Netflix you’d like, all from your shiny Galaxy S6, or any other streaming device for that matter.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge displays are smaller than the Note 4, with the same resolution.

The new Galaxy S6 comes with an assortment of upgrades including a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 577 ppi, Exynos 7 octo-core processor from Samsung, 32/64/128GB of storage options with no microSD card slot, Android 5.0 Lollipop with a new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, a 16MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera setup, Cat.6 4G LTE, and a 2550 mAh (Galaxy S6) and 2600 mAh battery (S6 Edge). Yes, the battery is slightly smaller than last year, so we’ll have to test that once this device arrives.

T-Mobile has launched a sign-up webpage for potential buyers that are interested in this deal, and would like to learn more about the Samsung Galaxy S6. With the April 10th release quickly approaching, we should be learning more about the release date and this Galaxy S6 deal soon enough.
