T-Mobile HTC One S Off-Contract Price Revealed

Published

on

Later on today, HTC and T-Mobile will announce the availability and pricing of the HTC One S. However, the device has shown up on the carrier’s website early and the posting reveals at least one bit of unrevealed information: The One S’ off-contract price.

The HTC One S, courtesy of TMoNews, has made an official appearance on T-Mobile’s website and the listing shows that the carrier will be asking for $599.99 when the phone is bought without a two-year agreement.

It’s listing unfortunately does not reveal the on-contract price of the One S. We expect it to be in the $200-225 range as that is where the carrier’s other flagship Android devices have launched in the past.

The event, set to take place later on today, will not only feature the device but also a performance from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. in an effort to promote the new phone.

T-Mobile originally announced the HTC One S shortly after the device was revealed at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

It will be replacing the HTC Sensation 4G, a device that launched in 2011.

The One S represents HTC’s new line of phones that feature thin builds and great battery life.

Other specifications include a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED touch screen which sports 540 x 960 resolution, a 1.5 GHz, dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

It’ll also run on the carrier’s HSPA+ 42 network.

We fully expect the phone to launch April 25th and we should know for sure in just a few short hours.

With the AT&T’s larger One-X coming in at 199…

With European siblings showing chips and scratches…

    With Samsung Galaxy’s announcement 5/3…

With the cessation of in the box BEATS headset…

T-Mobile best step up the offer…at the very least with accessory allowance

$600USD off contract? While this may seem okay considering other smartphones are about the same off contract, I think the consumer would best pay an extra $90USD for the One X. I know if I was getting this off contract I’m going to pitch in an extra 90 for the best HTC smartphone. There were already sites selling the unlocked ONE X for $629. $600 for the S is a rip off.
