Not that we don’t already know Windows can run on AMD processors, but in the interest of fairness, here’s a video from Engadget featuring an Acer Iconia Tab W500 and MSI WindPad 110W running Windows 8 on AMD processors.

MSI is prepping its own budget-class 10-inch Android tablet and the device was most recently seen going through the FCC, though little is known about pricing or release. The 10-inch slate would only maintain a paltry WVGA 480 X 800 resolution, which is found on today’s smartphones, rather than the higher resolution 1080 X 600 [...]

This morning the hottest news has been surrounding Evernote, Asus, eye control and faster WiFi. We also saw a few new notebook details come out from CeBIT 2011 in Germany regarding mini-notebooks and the Asus Slider. The biggest news of the morning was Notebooks.com’s interview with Phil Libin, the CEO of Evernote, regarding the future of Evernote [...]

At CES, Notebook Italia has reported that MSI has shown off a Windows tablet concept that integrates a swiveling pico projector. The projector can be used to display the tablet’s screen onto a wall to generate a larger display, or swiveled around to display a keyboard in front of the tablet for typists. The 10-inch [...]

As Sumocat had written about the MSI WindPad tablets that had debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week, we were able to get a hands-on demo of the two models. According to MSI, the Windows version will be built for resellers and may be customized for them–like what shortcut buttons appear [...]

Throwing down the gauntlet, MSI has announced a new line of notebooks that will “steal the spotlight” at CES 2011. With somewhat less bravado, they’ve also announced the debut of their next generation of WindPad tablets, one running Android, the other Windows.

According to a DigiTimes report, MSI may be launching its Windows-based WindPad tablet in January or February, ahead of plans for the company’s Android-based tablets that are slated for an April or May launch. Unlike the Android tablet models, the Windows WindPad from MSI will favor Intel’s Atom-based Oak Trail processor over an ARM-based CPU. [...]

Actually the pre-CES Tablet hype has been swinging for some time now, but it is beginning to pick up steam. Last year at CES it was all about Tablets and Slates as everybody and their brother promised that they would be bringing a touch screen Tablet to market. It was so crazy that the press [...]

An all-in-one multi-touch desktop that can display 3D video would be a first. Bolstering that with THX TruStudio Pro audio and USB 3.0 is a little nuts, but that’s what MSI has done with the AE2420 3D.

Word out of Digitimes is MSI, in addition to showing off their Android-based M Pad, will unveil an Atom-powered slate running Windows 7 called the “Slatebook”.

Word from Digitimes is that Asustek will unveil their Eee Pad tablet at Computex 2010, June 1-5, and launch in the third quarter of this year. MSI will follow suit with their M Pad… after they see how ASUS does. *cough* wuss *cough*

MSI has announced that its Tegra based Tablet will be available in the second half of this year and be priced at $500. I’m guessing we’ll be seeing a few of these Tablet announcements over the next few months and they will all have some things in common. They will all have a release date [...]
Word out of Digitimes is that ASUS has an e-book reader in the works, which I daresay should be known as an “Eee-reader,” and MSI may not be far behind. Asustek Computer plans to launch an e-book reader under its Eee brand by the end of 2009 at the earliest, according to company president Jerry [...]

Tegra may be NVIDIA’s hot product of ultra-mobiles and portables, but it’s not their only mobile computing offering at Computex. They’re showcasing a number of ION-based products, including several notebooks. Also, the desktops they’re highlighting include machines from well-known netbook vendors Asus, Acer, and MSI, so you can assume they must be looking at offering [...]
Is the bloom off the rose? In these days and times it is tough to measure things in the way we used to do for years. That said, Digitimes is reporting that Netbooks missed the first quarter sales targets as shipment volumes weren’t what was expected. Sources are saying that it this is due partially [...]
