Intel is set to announce its next-generation Atom processor, code named Bay Trail and based on the Silvermont architecture, come this Monday at its Santa Clara, California headquarters. The news may open up the tablet and computing market to new devices with a price tag as low as $200.
Citing the usual sources familiar with the matter, PC World is reporting that the announcement could as early as Monday and pave way for a new generation of low-cost performance systems. This would be the first major overhaul of the budget oriented Atom platform since its debut in 2008.

We had previously reported about a leaked ATIV Book 6 branding for Samsung’s Windows 8 notebook that would be coming to the U.S., and now it looks like the ATIV Book moniker will be used on even more Samsung’s notebook and laptop products. The company first introduced the ATIV branding with the debut of the ATIV S Windows Phone 8 smartphone and the ATIV Smart PC, ATIV Smart PC Pro, and the ATIV Tab Windows RT tablet that was subsequently canceled for the U.S. market. Now, it looks like ATIV will be making the jump to notebooks with the ATIV Book label.

Pocket, formerly known as Read It Later, may find a new behemoth of a competitor in Google if it launches its newly leaked Google Keep service. The aim of Pocket is to save web URL to the cloud service and then log in on the same device or a different device to read the URLs later, and it looks like Google may be launching a similar service in Keep.
