Updated: Sorry, the fix is proving unreliable. As shown in the photo, it worked fine yesterday after the initial install, but it isn’t connecting today, tested with multiple routers.
This is a tough review to write. First, Hugo Ortega, the man behind TegaTech and the Tega v2 is a friend and a Tablet/UMPC/Mobile promoter without equal, and I’d love for him to succeed with this new dual booting slate. Second, although I have always had my doubts, I’d actually like to see Microsoft have [...]
Okay, “leaked” may not be the right word since it’s on Tegatech’s official TEGA v2 website, but the official launch is still two days away (after being bumped by the WinPho7 hubbub), so the order page is ahead of schedule. No surprise, importing from Australia still isn’t cheap.
Our friend Hugo Ortega is really excited about the upcoming launch of Tegatech’s TEGA v2. I would be too if I was launching, say, the Sumotech SUMO v2. He’s passing along more news, good and bad, in response to some of the burning questions out there.
For those of you interested in the TEGA v2, but concerned about getting one outside of Australia, home of Tegatech, the company has announced it will be available in North America, Europe, Australia & New Zealand on October 12th.
In a couple of tweets last week from a visit to the factory, friend, former GBMer, and founder of Tegatech Australia, Hugo Ortega (a.k.a. @MrMobilePC) revealed two interesting features of his TEGA V2: a dedicated button for Ctrl-Alt-Del and something called “Android”.
Friend and former GBMer Hugo Ortega is showing off the follow-up to Tegatech’s sold-out TEGA Tablet, the TEGA v2. Like the first one, it’s a slate running Windows 7, and it’s packing some impressive muscle. No surprise given Hugo’s long history with Tablet PCs and UMPCs.
We’ve blogged about down under Tableteer and former GBM Team member Hugo Ortega’s adventure into bringing a Tablet to market earlier. Now it looks like the debut of the Tega Tablet is just around the corner, coming at CeBit Australia on May 24 to May 26. The Tega Tablet promises both touch and pen interaction, [...]
Former GBM Team Member Hugo Ortega is keeping himself busy in his home down under. Hugo is the owner of TegaTech a company that sells mobile devices of all types. Now is getting ready to release a Tablet and he says the first batches are almost ready to ship. The TegaTech Tablet will be called [...]
OQO may be gone, but thanks to Tegatech and this GBM-only exclusive, you still have an opportunity to get a brand new Model 02 at rock-bottom prices. According to Tegatech’s Hugo Ortega, you can’t these prices on these models anywhere else. These Model 02′s will likely move very quickly and they appear to be [...]
Tablet PCs and UMPCs are alive and well in the land of down-under. What better way to show your support than become of Facebook fan of Hugo Ortega’s company TegaTech Australia. You’ll pickup some good links and follow all the good things Hugo and his company are doing. By the way, if you happen to [...]
