GBM InkShow: Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer
It is no secret that I love Tom Bihn bags. Heck, I like bags in general, but Tom Bihn’s hand-crafted bags have made me very picky about what I slip my Tablet PC in to and carry on my shoulder. Their latest creation, the Checkpoint Flyer, is no different. Read on to watch our video review and find out how you can win your very own Checkpoint Flyer, valued at $220!

The Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer Arrives
The busy traveling season is upon us, and that means long lines and waiting for folks to pull out their laptop and run it through the scanner. Fortunately, the TSA has been approving a line of “Checkpoint friendly” laptop bags that will hopefully speed up the security check process - at least for those who planned ahead!
One of those new Checkpoint friendly bags is Tom Bihn’s Checkpoint Flyer, which I’ll be reviewing over the next week. My initial impressions: top-knotch quality, roomy, and light. I just showed off the bag to a colleague of mine that travels a great deal and you should have seen her eyes light up. She wants one bad!
We’ll also be giving away one of these Checkpoint Flyers, so stay tuned for that contest.
Meanwhile, checkout this video (after the break) of the Checkpoint Flyer going through the security scanner.
GBM InkShow: Tom Bihn Ristretto Bag
I love bags. I love unwrapping them, trying them out, and having plenty at my disposal to fit different usage needs: small ones for going back and forth to the office, large ones for carrying lots of gear when traveling, etc.
In this InkShow, I take a look at the Tom Bihn Ristretto Messenger bag. I’ve been really pleased with this bag and how much it can actually hold. When traveling to Seattle last month, it was my primary bag for carrying the Dell Latitude XT with extended battery, AC adapter, and other miscellaneous things I might need. It was perfect.
In this InkShow, I show how much stuff this little bag can hold, and demo various ultra-portables and tablet pcs like the Apple MacBook, Lenovo IdeaPad U110, Lenovo X61 Tablet PC, Lenovo X300, and Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC. Some fit perfect. Others, like the X61, were a bit too snug.
The Ristretto is available in various color choices for $70. I highly recommend the accessory organizer pouches, too.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a direct WMV download of this InkShow.

GBM InkShow: The Tom Bihn Ego Bag and Brain Cell
![]()
There are many times I look into my closet and see a whole bunch of bags sitting there… Why, because I can never seem to find the right one to carry all of my ’stuff’. It’s always too small, too big, not enough pockets… and the cycle of looking always seems to continue. Right now I have found a bad that I have been using for almost 2 months. I am going to continue to use this bag because it has subsided my need to find another bag.
The Ego Bag with the Brain Cell insert from Tom Bihn has become my new best friend for carrying around my computer. It is the right size for me, holds the right amount of gear and looks good too!! In this InkShow, I give a full look at the bag, it’s features and what it can hold. At the end, I almost do a ‘what’s in my gadget bag’ because I load up all the gear that I normally take around with me.
So, have a look at the Tom Bihn Ego Bag InkShow and see if the bag might be right for you. If you need a smaller bag, take a look at the bag that Rob did an InkShow on not long ago.

The GottaBeMobile.com / Tom Bihn Buzz Bag Contest
As I indicated last week during my video review of the Tom Bihn Buzz Bag, GottaBeMobile.com and TomBihn.com are partnering together to give one lucky GBM reader their own Buzz Bag, valued at $120.
What’s involved? Post an entry to this article telling us what all you put in to your current mobile bag and why the Buzz Bag might be a good mobile bag for you. This contest is open to U.S. and International residents. One entry person. The contest is open through Sunday, August 12th at 11:59 Mountain Time.
The folks at TomBihn.com and Team GBM will look at all the entries and pick a winner, then we’ll make an announcement by Friday, August 17th.
Best of luck to everyone!
Tom Bihn Buzz Bag InkShow

My weak spot for a good mobile bag has been well documented, and I’ve been doing a pretty decent job of being content with my Ogio bag. However, when the folks at TomBihn.com contacted me and asked if I would like to review their newly redesigned Buzz Bag, I couldn’t resist. Fortunately for me, my wife loves the bag, enough so that I think she wants one, too.
In this InkShow, I take you on a tour of the bag, show you the ways in which it can be carried or worn, and let you take a sneak peak at a new device I’m playing with. By the way, stay tuned to GBM, because we are partnering with TomBihn.com to give you an opportunity to win your own Buzz Bag.
Enjoy!
