TechCrunch: HP Slate Has an Android Twin

Published

on

According to TechCrunch, the HP Slate that Steve Ballmer held up during the CES2010 keynote isn’t the only HP Slate in the stable. Apparently there is one very similar to it, only running Google’s Android OS instead of Windows 7. As Erick Schonfeld of TechCrunch notes that could be very interesting indeed for those who believe (as I do) that Apps for this sea of slates we are swimming in will be a key component to any possible success.

If it is a real computer that is dockable, Windows would be a very big plus because you could use it as your main computer, as many of us continue to do with the Motion LS800.

If not, then the operating system is less important.

If I were calling the shots at Microsoft, I would urge HP to have a real computer that is dockable. As a purchaser, that is what I’d buy.
