Tiny WiFi Dongle from Buffalo

buffalo_s-80211n-wifi-dongle_-small-in-size-tiny-in-price-engadgetIt is hard to find a device without WiFi these days, but you might still have a device that is doing good service with a card that doesn’t allow you to connect to the latest 802.11 draft N routers.

If so this little tiny dongle from Buffalo might be a boost for you. Buffalo’s WLI-UC-GN 802.11b/g/dongle will set you back $24 for its 0.6 x 1.2 x 0.3 inch size. Look for it to ship sometime in February although it might hit the states later than that.

Don’t hold your breath for it in the States. Buffalo is still fighting a lawsuit preventing them from selling 802.11 wireless products in North America. Though they just won an appeal against the injunction against them, freeing them to resume sales, the case is still moving forward.

Why is it that so many of the netbooks don’t have draft N cards? This at least looks like a way to add it that doesn’t cost a fortune, though I don’t understand why it’s not integrated to begin with.
