The HTC One Max is HTC's massive version of last year's HTC One. And while we don't consider it to be one of the best smartphones on the market, in par due to its size, it's a device that's worth taking a look at because of its large high-resolution display.

HTC's One Max is a direct Galaxy Note competitor though it comes with a larger 5.9-inch display and doesn't come with a built in stylus. Those looking at the Galaxy Note 2 are likely looking at it, in part, because of its massive display so it's worth a look.

HTC's One Max also now comes with the company's brand new Sense 6 software, a much improved piece of software over the earlier Sense 5 and Sense 5.5 updates. Many people are going to like HTC's Sense much more than Samsung's TouchWiz software.

If the HTC One Max doesn't catch on, check out the HTC One M8, HTC's current flagship that is a smaller and better version of the HTC One Max.
