Nexus 4 Entertainment Apps

When it comes to entertainment on the Nexus 4 there aren't any major gaps in the apps I use for music or for movies and TV. Also included is Play Music, which offers access to music I uploaded to Google.

TWC TV - Time Warner Cable TV allows me to watch Live TV when I am at home, and to control my DVR from anywhere. The app doesn't offer On Demand like the iPad app, but it's a nice way to watch TV in bed or in a room without a TV.

Hulu Plus - Hulu Plus delivers The Daily Show, and a host of other TV shows to my Nexus 4, but mostly The Daily Show.

Netflix - With Netflix I can finally catch up on Doctor Who and a host of other movies.

HBO Go - With 3 episodes of Oz to go, I'm always looking for an easy opportunity to catch up on HBO Series, and with Game of Thrones season 3 on the way, I expect it will get more use.

Rhapsody - While Rhapsody doesn't make sharing an account across devices as easy as competitors it's a great music app.

Songza - Songza offers curated playlists based on the time of day and activity. It's a must have app on the Nexus 4.

Pandora - When I want to listen to a specific type of music I turn to Pandora, and with Pandora one I don't have to listen to ads.

Audible - Audible is my preferred way to listen to audio books, especially the Game of Thrones series.

Thanks for posting on all of these great apps and widgets, Josh. There’s a lot here, so I’ll wait until I get home from my shift at DISH to sit down with my Nexus and check them out. I’d like to suggest my favorite app, DISH Anywhere. I use it to watch live TV or DVR recordings on my phone. It’s a great way to kill time on my commute to and from work every day.

Dropbox is one of my favorite apps and is very useful for someone like me who wants to access files anytime and anywhere I want.

apps you telling are very basic apps. those are just informers. if you really want featured apps let me tell you…
1- tasker (looks hard but very easy and excellent when you use to with it)
2-Light manager (if your phone have led light notification)
    3-HD Widgets
4-NFC Tasker (if your phone have NFC)
5-4shared (to download free, all paid apps)

Tasker is best in all android apps. if you use to with it then no need to buy and battery saver or call blocker or sms apps…it do all work alone.
