Use Google Voice’s Voicemail Features With Your Existing Number

Published

on

For those who might want to use Google Voice but don’t want to change their phone numbers this might be worth giving a look. Google is rolling out a sort of light version of Google Voice that allows you to take advantage of the excellent voice mail features of Google Voice with your existing phone number. You still need an invite to get into Google Voice. (I’ve got two available, first two to leave a comment to this post gets them.)

You don’t get all of the features of Google Voice and this may be an easy way for some to check out the service. Google is still promising that number porting is coming sometime down the road. You can check out the options on the Google Voice Blog.
