Verizon Continues to Clean House for HTC One Release

Published

on

Just in case prospective Verizon HTC One buyers needed another sign that the release was close, Verizon has offered yet another one as the Droid Incredible 4G LTE, another HTC phone, has gone out of stock today just ahead of the HTC One’s rumored August 15th release date.

Earlier this week, we heard that the HTC One Verizon release date might be coming in the near future, on August 15th to be exact. While the date remains unconfirmed, there are signs that the HTC One release on Verizon is imminent.

First, we saw the Droid DNA disappear from Verizon’s website. It has yet to return to shelves. The Verizon HTC One is thought to be replacing the Droid DNA as the company’s flagship HTC model. Yesterday, we saw HTC reveal that the release should be imminent. We also saw Verizon post a photo depicting the HTC One next to a host of devices.

Today, another sign as the carrier has seemingly killed off the Droid Incredible 4G LTE in favor of another HTC device, the HTC One. While the device is listed as being temporarily out of stock, it’s pretty clear that this phone is not a widely adopted device. And unless Verizon was suddenly inundated with buyers, the only reason that it would suddenly be out of stock is because it’s cleaning house for the HTC One’s arrival.

There is a chance that it could return but given the vanishing act pulled by the Droid DNA, it seems unlikely at this point.

The Verizon HTC One release remains weeks away.

The Verizon HTC One is rumored for August 15th.

Hopefully, this means that an announcement is extremely close. Verizon has not hinted at any specific dates but it’s becoming clear that August 15th could definitely be the day this device arrives on the nation’s largest 4G LTE service provider.

Verizon’s HTC One is expected to arrive in blue and come with the same features that are found on the other devices. Those include a 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, Ultrapixel camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the new Sense 5.

Pricing is not yet known but given the market, Verizon is expected to carry it for $199.99 on-contract.

Thanks for the tip, Bob!

I honestly don’t get it. If sony can announce its Z model for a sept release date, why can’t Verizon announce the htc one date. What kind of game is Verizon playing? Childish!!!

I sure as hell hope its not ONLY in blue. That would be the final slap in the face, and proof Verizon really doesn’t want us to have it.

Lol I was thinking that earlier today when I saw the rumors of a blue HTC One, they would no doubt pull something like that, maybe even get us a pink

Red or blue, silver, why does it matter? What a bunch of idiots posting worry about the color, now that is pretty childish Id say, whining like a 5 year old over whether its going to be blue or red. Id go black, silver, red,or blue, because I am not picky as some of you seem to be. And I dont waste my time complaining about things either. Seriously,it is coming people,Verizon has never lied about that.

You just wrote the biggest post of the comment section complaining about other people, but you don’t waste time complaining??? Hmm… I’m not a teenager, so having a bright blue phone would annoy me too.

Hold up there Sam. How rediculous are you. If I’m paying premium money to Verizon, we should be entitled either the best smart phone on its network or something even better then the HTC one. Now, for Verizon to come out with some bull crap like a blue HTC one is plain stupid. Just as stupid as Verizon putting their big ass logo on the front and back of the phones. What’s more annoying is that Verizon trends to be secretive about everything they do (updates, release dates excetra). Why can’t Verizon be like everyone else and release a silver or black HTC one? Besides, the only reason the HTC one is coming to Verizon late was because, Verizon higher ups realized how much of a success and how much of a draw the HTC one created. So in an attempt to make money by extending existing customers with another2 year contract, they decided to bring it to Verizon. Otherwise they would have never thought twice about carrying it. It just seems like Verizon is only concerned with making money and not satisfying their customers needs.

Verizon is giving us a blue phone for the biggest case of blue balls they’ve given us.

From someone that has the HTC One and is a huge female geek, I can tell you the HTC One is a game changer. Why? Quad core, Ultra megapixel camera, dual frontal speakers in geek terms. In simple terms, when you take a pic on the current phones and they end up blurry, not with the HTC one. It will auto correct the blur spots in a split second so all your pics come out blurr free. Doesn’t matter if you are doing 70 on a freeway and snapping radom pics (tested/great) Also the quad core makes everything fast. For fios customers it’s like having a 75MB service when it hops from one task to another. The dual frontal speaks gives a surround sound feeling. Loudest I’ve hear thus far. Even with knock of dre beat imitiation ear phones from JVC for $30, amazing sound with or without ear phones. In a nut shell it captures all consumers. Windows people will appreciate the Sensa 5. If you don’t like windows tiles, just slide it to the left and you have your regular Android app screen view. And if you are an Apple fan, you’ll appreciate not having to touch the battery. It comes built in with 32Gigs of space + a Drop box (cloud service) of 25 Gigs no extra fee. Cannot beat that. I live to destroy phones and I can’t say I’m anywhere near close to giving a bad comment on this phone. Oh wait just one… Battery life. If you are a Samsung fan, this will not give the battery life you were used to. But the trade off is you get wayyyy more done with minimal time.

Well said! I’m super excited for when this phone releases. And as for the color, I’m not a big fan of blue, but I’m most likely gonna buy a case anyway. I just hope this phone comes out before the end of August so I can have an upgrade before the semester starts

Droid Incredible 4G LTE on the Vzw Web site? Monday 2013-08-05, it’s Baaak…. Vzw and Google have had a pact since the introduction of the original ‘Droid’ (also MOT) and Vzw is going to push the Motorola product HARD. The HTC One isn’t in the marketing plan. The fact that the One isn’t a ‘Droid’ also doesn’t fit with Big Red’s plan to take over the WORLD! AT&T may have the Death Star logo, but Vzw has the ‘Droids’! hahaha.
