Verizon Drops Price on Samsung Galaxy Tab to $499

Published

on

Liliputing is linking to information that Verizon is dropping the price of the Samsung Galaxy Tab by $100 to $499. If you purchased one within the last two weeks of the price change you can get a $100 refund, but early shoppers I guess might be out of luck.

Verizon is also tacking on a $60 free movie rental credit for new customers to be used through the Blockbuster App or Samsung Media Hub.

I’d keep my eyes peeled for other price drops as Samsung gets ready to announce new Tablets at CES 2011 and now that the Christmas season is over.

I was at my local Best Buy yesterday and did see the price of $499, but it said if you ssigned up for a 2 year agreement or $599 with out contract. So I’m wondering if some will actually sell at $499 without contract?

I think i’ll just have to wait for just a couple of months since CES2011 will definitely be showcasing some new tablet options. This will definitely cause tablet prices to drop

I have noticed that every time I am in a Best Buy and wander through the cell phone section, I can walk right up and the Samsung Tab – no line whatsoever. Does anybody actually buy these things?

I’ve noticed the same at my local Best Buy. But to be fair, I can also go up to an iPad with no line as well (even before Christmas)
