Verizon Finalizing Details for HTC One Release

Published

on

Verizon is currently offering a number of Verizon HTC One accessories on its website. Problem is, the Verizon HTC One release date is still unknown.

Yesterday, the Verizon HTC One finally made an appearance on the carrier’s website in the form of a sign up page for interested buyers. The sign up page allows buyers to sign up for more information using their email address. The sign up page offers buyers their first glimpse at the Verizon HTC One branding and it’s a sign that a release is getting close.

Just how close though remains a mystery as HTC and Verizon continue to deflect questions about the Verizon HTC One release date. This, despite the carrier already taking orders for Verizon HTC One compatible accessories.

Verizon is clearly prepping for the HTC One release.

Verizon is clearly prepping for the HTC One release.

Indeed, Verizon is currently offering a number of HTC One accessories including a Vehicle Charger, JBL speaker, headphones and more. It’s clear that this page isn’t setup completely because Verizon also lists a Samsung Galaxy portable battery pack as one of the accessories available to future owners of the HTC One.

The accessories are stock accessories and aren’t geared toward the HTC One though many of them will be compatible with the device. We expect Verizon to make some significant changes to this list once the phone finally does arrive on shelves. What it is though is another sign that Verizon is preparing the HTC One for arrival, finalizing the details after a significant wait.

The Verizon HTC One first showed up on the carrier's website yesterday.

The carrier remains mum on a specific release date for the HTC One but rumors suggest August 15th, August 23rd or August 29th as possible Verizon HTC One release dates. Thanks to rumors, it’s clear that Verizon has likely not settled on a release date yet, possibly due to all of the smartphone launches that it has in store for August.

Verizon is planning to release the Droid MAXX, Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Moto X amongst other phones this month so finding a spot for the HTC One has likely proven difficult.

When it does arrive, the Verizon HTC One is expected to have the same metal design, same 4.7-inch display, same Ultrapixel camera and same 4G LTE data speeds as the other models in the United States. It is, however, expected to have Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board, an update that has yet to roll out to the variants on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

I know this is garbage but even if it was true she would have had to work over 60 hrs a week at $73 per hour. I would hardly call that “a few hours”

Felicia’s post is more informative than Adam’s.

This was very informative this time! Pound cake, just because you’re a nerd who checks everything 25x a day doesn’t mean the rest of us are. This is the first absolute hard evidence that this is actually going to happen soon. In short, EAFD. In contrast to that tools douchebaggery, d1donly, I think that you’re truly on to something, and to be honest, that really pisses me off– Rezound battery is done– gave me six hours 2 weeks ago, giving me about 3-4 right now…really hope it makes it that long!

At this point it seems some folks are just kinda aiming at Adam because hes been doing this the whole time.. But, though I’m not sure about you guys, I actually did learn something from this article despite reading around periodically throughout the day. While Adam is just trying to bring traffic in (and has been the whole time), hes also keeping us updated with a lot of info incase we’d missed any. Kudos on this article Adam.

I agree, not everyone follows up with HTC info everyday, anyone who reads this article now knows that accessories are being revealed and a sign-up page for enail updates is available, therefore meaning a release is imminent. Good article.

I’ve been waiting for Verizon to get the HTC One, but I’m starting to lose interest. First the release date was supposedly August 1, then August 15, now who knows. Now I’m becoming more interested in either the Samsung S4 or their Note III. HTC is missing the boat on this release…..
