Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.1 Update Points to Impending Release
It would appear that Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been updated with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1, which means that we very well could be close to an official announcement from Big Red. Again, for the millionth time, we expect the Galaxy Nexus to launch on either December 8th or December 11th, although as we know, it could end up being an entirely different day.
MyDroidWorld has posted the evidence and it’s very possible that this will be the version of software that comes with the Verizon Galaxy Nexus out of the box.
If you recall, there were whispers about Verizon working on some bugs that needed working on in order to get this update out so let’s hope that this is the fix that the device needed for the green light.
An announcement doesn’t seem far off, however, we doubt we’ll hear anything official until next week at the earliest.
Nothing is set in stone though.

Dec. 8th or the 15th seem like reasonable dates – they are both on a Thursday. The 11th is a Sunday and doesn’t sound reasonable unless that is the pre-order date. We’ll have to hold our collective breath to find out. Shame on you Verizon – you should say something to your customers at the least. ‘Cause no news is not good news when you’re waiting for a new phone to come out.

The 15th is AFTER my birthday, and the Gnex is too be my present, so, as you can clearly see, the 15th is an impossible date. Follow my logic?

Yay! Sarcastically… another phone receiving updates before its released! Android will never work their bugs out! DROID Bionic reboots all the time by itself!

The 11th seems most likely based on available info. 11th makes no sense at all, silly!
