The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which has been rumored for AT&T, could be heading to the nation’s largest 4G LTE carrier in Verizon Wireless with Android 4.2.2 at some point in the future.

Samsung has already announced its new Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, a device that is going to be arriving in July as a cheaper Galaxy S4 option, complimenting the more expensive larger Galaxy S4 model. The device features a 4.3-inch qHD display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Galaxy S4 software features, 8MP camera, and a dual-core processor.

Today, several carriers in the United Kingdom put the Galaxy S4 Mini on sale ahead of its launch, though those in the United States still don’t have any official word on a Galaxy S4 Mini launch.

Rumors suggest that the device could be heading to AT&T as the SGH-I257 sometime later this year. AT&T hasn’t announced anything just yet but it could in the near future. Today, another possible Galaxy S4 Mini has been thrown into the mix in the form of the SCH-I435 which is thought to possibly be the Verizon Galaxy S4 Mini.

The model number was first discovered by the reliable Blog of Mobile and it was found on a recently passed Bluetooth certification. The model number lines up with other Verizon Galaxy models so it could be that this is Verizon’s Galaxy S4. It’s also entirely possible that it’s another Samsung device running Android 4.2.2 as well but the most logical device right now is the Galaxy S4 Mini.

The HTC One Mini is said to be coming in August to compete with the Galaxy S4 Mini.

It has the price and it has the brand power over names like Stratosphere. So Verizon could be potentially lining this up to compliment the Galaxy S4 on shelves later this year.

Samsung is expected to further showcase the Galaxy S4 Mini at a launch event next week and it could be that we find out the American carriers sometime around then.
