Verizon HTC One Release Remains in Flux as Summer Arrives

Published

on

With the first day of summer upon us and the Verizon HTC One set to arrive sometime during the summer months, the Verizon’s HTC One release unfortunately remains in flux with one source telling us that Verizon is taking things slow and that a release date still isn’t known.

Several weeks ago, HTC and Verizon made a vague HTC One announcement, confirming the Verizon HTC One release for the summer, though releasing no other details. The device is looking like it will be the same device as the other variants for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile though HTC and Verizon still haven’t confirmed any of the specifications.

The companies have also refused to disclose a release date, even with the June 21st being the first day of summer. Summer lasts until September 21st which means that the Verizon HTC One release could take place any time between now and then. What we’re hearing though is that a Verizon HTC One release date is still in flux as the summer begins.

A source that would be familiar with Verizon’s plans claims that Verizon hasn’t issued a release date for the HTC One and from the looks of things, appears to be taking its time with the release.

While this doesn’t necessarily mean that a release is far off in the distance, it does mean that we could still be a little ways from hearing about an official release date.

A Verizon HTC One will face stiff competition.

One theory suggests that the Verizon HTC One launch is somehow tied into the release of the HTC One Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update which was originally thought to be coming in the middle of June but has yet to roll out. The Verizon HTC One is expected to have Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running stock.

The Verizon HTC One release has been rumored to be taking place before the end of June and with the HTC One Nexus arriving on the Google Play Store on June 26th with Android 4.2, it’s possible that something more concrete could form next week.

At the moment though, as summer begins, the Verizon HTC One release date remains in flux with potential buyers left with only vague responses from HTC and Verizon.

What is wrong with you people? No one ever forced you to read this article, no one ever mandated that you click the link and scroll through the contents. Before you claim that this guy is an idiot, why don’t realize that if you are the kind of person that takes the time out of your day to post to a hurtful comment about someone who is just doing their job, maybe YOU are the idiot, and maybe YOU need to look in the mirror and realize that unreasonably criticizing other people wont make you any less of a worthless tool. Stop hiding behind your cloak. Plain and simple, you are a coward.

In fact, may people closely following the launch appreciate the updates, even if they reveal nothing revolutionary. Its something, even if it isn’t much, so thank you Adam.

He doesn’t provide any ‘new’ news, and his articles only add clutter to search engines. We would all benefit from adam ceasing his publication of worthless information.

This ridiculous handling of affairs has led me to actually start running the numbers for jumping to ATT. I found out that ATT basically matches my employer discount so rates would be basically identical. I also I can get a *64GB* HTC One on contract for $199 on ATT and an S4 Active for my wife for the same price. If VZW launces a 16GB-only device for a similar payment then I will jump ship. If they don’t have the device at least announced by the end of June I will also jump ship. It’s really hard for me to believe that over the next 24 months VZW is going to be a vastly better place to be than ATT, or even TMO if they can step up their coverage.

Seriously? How are you getting top ranking in Google? As someone who is followed this horrible launch closely, I hate that your links keep popping up because you have nothing new to offer. Stop posting nothing! This is a horrible website and suggests that Google’s algorithm doesn’t work.

So does “Jelly bean running stock” mean no Sense 5.0? Because Sense is the reason I only buy HTC. I hate Moto’s and Samsung’s UIs and have only recently warmed to LG’s. If the One is going to come stock – as in Nexus stock – then why am I even waiting for it?

Jelly bean running stock does not mean no Sense 5.0…The Google Nexus version of the HTC One will not be available on Verizon due to different radio signal configuration (the Google only version will sell on ATT and TMO). Stock means you won’t have to perform a manual software update.

Ill laugh my butt off if Verizon releases the phone in Sep. i dont think they will wait that long because the Note 3 will be announced that month. No way they will botch sales by waiting when the next big thing comes out.

This Adam dude does suck. Could be a robot even. Not a new smart one. One of those 1980s robots that just smacked into the same wall over and over again probably. They repurposed it to write keyword articles.

    Oh Adam… smh

Anyway, HTC recently revealed the J Butterfly S which they consider to be a 5″ phablet. It will be released in Asia sometime in July. It is a 5″ HTC One. As we all know, the DNA is the American equivalent of the original Butterfly. If July is the true release date, I would guesstimate Verizon making theirs available sometime after July. Maybe even in the Fall. Look up the J Butterfly S. It is a sign of hope.
