Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 Leaks as Competition for the Nexus 7

This week Google’s impressive Nexus 7 Android tablet finally launched on Verizon Wireless with full support for 4G LTE, nearly 6 months after the initial release.

Today though, we’ve learned that one more impressive Android tablet will soon be available on Verizon with 4G LTE, and could potentially be a huge competitor to Google’s own tablet. The well-rounded and impressive LG G Pad 8.3 was leaked on Twitter, confirming the US carrier will soon be offering yet another tablet on its network.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports of LG’s tablet heading to Verizon, not to mention it recently cleared the FCC with Verizon services on board, but today the official press photo was revealed, which is shown below.

Offering an 8.3-inch 1920 x 1080p full HD display and a powerful 1.9 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM, this is one of the best Android tablets available in its size. Running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, sporting a 5 megapixel camera on the rear, stereo speakers, and 16GB of internal storage this is set to give the Nexus 7 a run for its money.

No additional details, release date or pricing was revealed, but generally leaks from the popular @evleaks are weeks away from officially being revealed. Add in the fact that we’ve been seeing big discounts and deals on the 8-inch tablet, Verizon could be ready to finally have it join the lineup with 4G LTE on board.
