It appears that the Verizon Moto X 2014 will remain $50 for only a limited time. Presumably, it’ll go back up to its regular $99 pricing soon. That $50 price includes some basic customization through Moto Maker. For example, users are able to choose accent colors and rear covers. The standard pricing for the leather and wood backed Moto X 2014 devices remains in place. Those extras still cost $25. 32GB of storage instead of the standard 16 costs another $50 extra.

In addition to making versions available through carriers, Motorola also makes a Pure Edition Moto X 2014. The Pure Edition Moto X 2014 doesn’t include any carrier customizations and isn’t locked to a single carrier. Users of this version get updates the moment Motorola decides to deploy them. This version of the device costs $499, but users can break up the cost into monthly payments through financing.
