Verizon Windows Phone 8X, Lumia 822 Release Date & Price Leaked

The HTC Windows Phone 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 will arrive on Verizon Wireless on November 12 according to a leaked document obtained by WPCentral.

According to the leaked document both the Windows Phone 8X and Nokia Lumia 822 go on sale on the same day. If the leak is correct, the Nokia Lumia 822 will cost $99.99, and the HTC Windows Phone 8X will cost $199.99. Interestingly, the HTC Windows Phone 8X is listed as $50 more on Verizon than Best Buy is charging for pre-orders of the same phone on AT&T.

Both the Lumia 822 and the Windows Phone 8X will come in three colors on Verizon Wireless. The Nokia Lumia 822 will come in black, grey, and white. The Windows Phone 8X will come in blue, black, and red, which means Limelight Yellow fans will need to look elsewhere for their brightly colored phone of choice.

The release date for both phones is close to the rumored release dates for other Windows Phones. T-Mobile will likely release its Windows Phones on November 14 according to a recent leak. It’s unclear when AT&T will begin selling its Windows Phones.

Microsoft will finally launch Windows Phone 8 next week on October 29. During the event manufacturers and carriers will likely announce release dates and prices for their upcoming phones. Several WIndows Phone devices were announced over the past few weeks, though none had any pricing and release date information.

The Nokia Lumia 822 and Windows Phone 8X by HTC will have some competition from the LG Nexus 4 which will likely come to the U.S. around the same time.
