Wife Makes Husband Return iPad 2, Apple Sends Him Free Replacement

Apple iPad 2

There are probably a few different reasons that people have been returning iPad 2’s. Maybe they took it home and realized that the LCD screen was bleeding. Maybe they decided that a tablet just wasn’t for them. We’re willing to bet though, that not a lot of people have returned their iPad 2 tablets on account of their spouses.

Well, that’s exactly what happened to one guy.

MacRumors reports that Apple has been keeping a very close eye on iPad 2 returns because the company is interested in any major defects that their product might have. Well, two VPs down in Cupertino apparently caught wind of one return that didn’t have anything to do with the hardware and everything to do with a very opinionated spouse.

Apparently, a man returned his iPad 2 with a note that read “Wife said no.” The VPs enjoyed the excuse and reportedly sent the man a free iPad 2 with a note that said “Apple said yes.”

No word on whether or not the wife approved of the free iPad or if the guy was made to send that one back as well.

Poor guy, next time maybe he should … grow a pair!

My wife knows not to EVER say or do anything derogatory about my gadget purchases.
Do I complain about her clothes shopping addiction? Her chocolate addiction? Her buying plants to fill the house with addiction? Her leaving the toilet seat down addiction? Her not putting out a new toilet roll when she’s used the last one addiction? No, I don’t (not to her face, anyway).

A divorce sounds like a step in the right direction for that guy.

If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, this is a very hateful thought.

If the issue is going to escalate to this point, then they obviously care about each other very much, and that is primarily what matters.

If they what to get a divorce, then fine, but who do you think you are saying they should get divorced knowing as little as you do.

IMHO, I would like to see them stay together, because that’s what marriage *should* be about!

I’m confused… what does apple have to do with lady gaga? last time I checked, she does not make tablets.

I am not a fan of Apple products by a long shot, but you have to hand it to them for this – demonstrates (a) good sense of P.R. and (b) that they keep a very close eye on their business. So good for them – and obviously good for the lucky individual who got a free ipad 2 out of the deal.

Then there’s the opposite problem: wife says yes and won’t give your ipad back.

is this confirmed? this is RETARDED!!!!! I purchased two ipad ones at launch. one was broken and the second one I was robbed for at gunpoint. Upon calling apple and trying to get them to help me recover the stolen device and I pretty much get told to shove off ( remarkably in a verifiable series of emails from steve jobs) and get nothing to show for it. And now I’m reading of a man getting a free ipad simply because his wife told him he couldn’t have the one he bought? wow…. I’m speechless

    Jason, Phil, I was here.

You know that I know that you know what I’m thinking.
