Xbox One Games Green Monday Deals Bring Big Savings

Published

on

Dell, makers of Windows PCs and more is once again making headlines for deals on Xbox One games. As of right now the company is offering big name titles like Forza Horizon 2 & Sunset Overdrive less than anyone else is and throwing in $25 in credit. GameStop is also holding a Green Monday sale of its own.

Dell began offering the deal on Xbox One games earlier today. Until Wednesday, its pricing launch Xbox One games like Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3 and Forza 5: Game of the Year Edition to just $39.99. Also included in the sale are $39 physical copies of more recent games that should cost more like Kinect Sports Rivals and Sunset Overdrive. Just a few months ago, Sunset Overdrive cost $59. To be clear, that pricing is instant. There are no mail-in rebates or minimum purchases beyond the games themselves.

To be clear, the $25 in savings that users get in gift card form isn’t something that they can use at just any retailer. It’s a Dell Promo eGift Card; it has to be used at their online store. Luckily, the company offers a wide assortment of games and gaming related accessories. For example, it’s priced the Xbox One Stereo Headset to just $39.99. That’s down from $59.99.

Dell says the eGift Cards are emailed to shoppers within 10-20 days of their initial purchase. It’s also limiting how long shoppers have to spend it to just 90 days.

All told, this Xbox One games deal is huge for anyone who is hoping to save money anywhere they can this holiday season. The Xbox One launched late last year for $499. Since then, we’ve seen the console come down in price a lot. Late last month there were some retailers selling the Xbox One for as low as $329. Today, an Xbox One console with a Kinect 2 sensor for motion games and live television is $349.

While we’ve seen prices on the console itself drop, Xbox One games deals have been pretty hard to come by. Dell’s Xbox One games deal is a great way to save some money this holiday season on Microsoft’s titles. We’re seeing more Xbox One games deals thanks to some scattered Green Monday deals at GameStop.

At GameStop, NBA2K15 is just $49.99. Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition, For a Motorsport 5 Racing Game of the Year Edition, Ryse: Son of Rome Legendary Edition, Metro Redux and Sunset Overdrive are just $39.99. Unfortunately, GameStop isn’t offering any sort of gift card on top of that deal. As such, it’s not as attractive as what Dell is offering. On the other hand, it’s great for anyone who isn’t comfortable purchasing games online. GameStop has hundreds of stores, sometimes two or more in large cities. Of course, all of these games can be ordered online as well.

To be clear, the games in both of these Xbox One deals are physical copies. They’ll each come on a disc. Buyers will need to go through a short installation processor before they’re allowed to play them. Additionally, the disc will need to be inside the Xbox One before they can be played.

This is a long way of saying, they can’t be shared digitally. This also means, that players don’t have to worry about space on their Xbox One as much. Also, games on discs can be traded into retail stores like GameStop for credit towards more games, a new console or other accessories.

The Xbox Store and Microsoft’s own retail stores aren’t offering any notable Xbox One game deals right now. GottaBeMobile included the Xbox One in its holiday gift guide.
