Digital note taking is catching on fast. If your new PC is a laptop or tablet, why would you carry a separate notebook to take handwritten notes? Instead, install Evernote. There are companion apps for iPhone and Android so that the notes you take are with you anywhere. What’s more, those notes are then searchable. The program supports dropping in images to go with your text and taking handwritten notes on devices that have a touchscreen. Evernote is free to use for as long as your notebook remains below 60MB in size and syncs to two devices, like your phone or PC. Again, if your device supports touch, you can take handwritten notes. OneNote doesn’t charge you to make PDFs searchable. It’s available on your iPhone, iPad or Android device too.
