Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have two of the best camera experiences on the market, regardless of the operating system. If the rumors are true, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL camera experience will be just as good for a fraction of the cost. 

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL both come with a 12.2 megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). They also feature dual 8MP front-facing cameras.

The cameras produce excellent photos and video, you can see some samples in our Pixel 3 review, and they're backed by impressive software which includes features like Top Shot and Night Sight.

Pixel 3a rumors suggest that the devices will come with a single 12-MP rear camera along with a new autofocus sensor. One site claims the picture quality is on par with the Pixel 3's. 

Even if it's close, you can expect a great camera experience in a cheap package, and that's very exciting.
