Apple hasn't confirmed an iOS 8.4.1 release date for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and again, it probably won't. Apple only announces iOS updates when the software is introduced on a big stage like WWDC or at an iPhone launch. Instead, we'll probably have to endure several days, perhaps weeks, of silence. Fortunately there a few things that we already know about the iOS 8.4.1 release date. First, we know that the iOS 8.4.1 release date will land for everyone on the same day. If you're coming from Android, know that Apple rolls all of its updates out at the same time. Even if you own an older device, you never have to wait. We also know that the update has to come before the release of iOS 9. The iOS 9 release date is confirmed for the fall. And with an iPhone launch rumored for September, there's a good chance the release will fall in and around September 23rd. iOS 8.4.1 is a tiny update and we don't expect it to go through several months of beta testing. The release date could come at any time but we'd expect it to come sooner rather than later. There's no guarantee that we'll even see another beta. | |||||||||||
