Stream Audio to Multiple Devices with BT 5.0

Samsung's Galaxy S8 was the first phone on the market with Bluetooth 5.0, although it doesn't get mentioned very often. However, Bluetooth 5.0 is important for multiple reasons and takes the audio experience to the next level on phones like the LG V30.

So what makes Bluetooth 5.0 special and what does it do your old phone doesn't? A lot, actually. For one, it increases the speed of Bluetooth by 800% and gives it multi-channel and directional audio. Everything from file transfers to simply connecting to a device is extremely fast. Noticeably faster actually. BT 5.0 also increases the range

BT 5.0 also increases the range from 30ft to a little over 120ft. Meaning you can stream music from anywhere in the house, or even next door.

And the best part, Bluetooth 5.0 allows you to stream audio or share Bluetooth signals to two devices at the same time. Listen to music or watch movies on two Bluetooth speakers at the same time for stereo sound, even if they aren't the same brand. Basically, this is what made SONOS popular a few years ago, but now it works with any device.

The Galaxy S8 has directional audio on an app-by-app basis, and we're expecting the V30 to have it also. Meaning you can stream music to one speaker upstairs while listening to something else downstairs on speakers or wireless headphones. Neat, right?
