Last but finally not least, we wanted to round up a few other excellent features you'll love about the Galaxy Note 8. Some of them aren't new, while others are improved enough that we had to mention them.

Samsung Pay is still the best mobile payment solution on the market. It works with new NFC terminals (like Apple or Android Pay) but is also backward compatible with swipe-based magnetic terminals. This means you can pay with your phone at nearly 95% of stores in the United States. I use Samsung Pay daily, get tons of rewards, and even double my points with an AMEX card.

Perhaps the most important small feature no one is talking about though is Bluetooth 5.0 on the Galaxy Note 8. This is one of the first phones with Bluetooth 5.0 and it makes a major difference in daily use. The range is extended from 30 ft to over 120 feet, which is amazing. Data transfers are 800% faster, and you can stream to two devices at once. Additionally, you can control at an app-level the Bluetooth and what goes where or what stays on your phone. So stream music to speakers while you watch YouTube on your phone.

The Note 8 has Bixby AI, Samsung's virtual assistant that's getting better by the day. If you hate the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner there's an Iris Eye scanner camera on the front. The Note 8 supports Gigabit LTE speeds.

Finally, battery longevity is something no one is talking about. Samsung promises that after 12 months of daily use, the Galaxy Note 8 will retain 95% battery capacity. Most devices only have around 75-80% of the battery capacity left after a year of use. Like that old Galaxy S5 or iPhone that just doesn't hold a charge anymore.

So with that all said, pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 today
