Always-On Display

For those that don't know or have never had this feature, you'll absolutely love the Always-On Display on the Galaxy Note 8.

Essentially, the screen has a small portion that stays on 24/7 with helpful information at a glance. With the screen off, you'll still see the time, date, battery level and incoming notifications. This is completely customizable too. You can change the colors, adjust the clock or font, or even add a background image or calendar to the always-on screen. Once you have it you won't want any other phone unless it has it too. It's that helpful.

We turn on our phones over 140 times a day according to recent studies, often just to check notifications or the time. This cuts down on over a hundred wakes daily that drain the battery. At the same time, the AMOLED panel from Samsung is designed to keep these pixels turned on without draining battery life.

In fact, Samsung claims you'll use between 1-4% battery life throughout an entire 8-hour work day with the Always-On display feature enabled. Between all the benefits and not waking your phone up 100 times a day, this is a feature you'll love and surely use. You can even swipe on the AOD for music or video playback controls while the screen is off. Enjoy it.
