Personally, the OnePlus 6T has the smallest notch so far in 2018, and it's the least offensive. I always said I've never use a phone with a notch, but the OnePlus 6T is growing on me. In fact, I don't even notice it anymore.
However, if you can't get over that small, unassuming notch, get rid of it. You can hide the notch by blending it into a bezel that's about the same size as the black bar at the bottom of the screen. Making it look more like a Galaxy S9+ or Note 9, which is fine. Just go to Settings > in Device tap on Display > Notch Display > Hide the Notch Once you choose this, a software overlay puts a black bar at the top and completely hides the notch. The phone software recognizes this, apps take it into consideration, and everything works as expected. You can even keep the clock and notifications in the notch, but everything else goes underneath it. Which, honestly, is the best route in my opinion.
