Step 3: Gather Your Login Info

Step 3: Gather Your Login Info

You're going to need to have your login information handy if you want to make the move to iOS 9.1 right away.

In order to get the installation process going, you'll need the device's passcode. So if you're installing it for a friend or family member, make sure you get that code otherwise you won't be able to get the download process started.

You'll also want to track down your Apple ID and iCloud login information. We were prompted to input our Apple login after installing the update and we moved from iOS 9.0.2.

One other thing. You'll also want to have your logins for your various applications handy. If you're moving from iOS 8 to iOS 9.1, you'll likely get logged out of most, if not all, of your applications. So make sure you have all of that info on hand before you make your move.

I updated iPad to 9.1 last night 10/27/15. This morning, Google app won’t open and bricks the device. It took me 3 tries to get iPad to shut down so I could reboot. NEVER had a problem before 9.1. Confidence? I think not

I don’t know about the google app but I lost all my contacts and cannot re-load them. This is a big problem – any fixes?
