Cleanup Your Storage

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Android Oreo update requires a nice chunk of space. Again, it should be 500MB+ for most Galaxy S8 models. If you're running out of space, or even if you're not, use this time to cleanup your Galaxy S8's storage and/or microSD card.

If you've owned your Galaxy S8 for a year, your internal storage is probably filled with photos you no longer need, videos you no longer watch or want, and music you no longer like or need to store locally.

If you don't clean up your storage regularly you'd be surprised how much bloat you have taking up space on your internal storage.

Dig into your storage, you can use your Galaxy S8's Device Maintenance menu in Settings to help narrow down the list of items to delete, and get rid of anything you don't use.

Your device will be ready for Android 8.0 Oreo and you might see an overall boost to your Galaxy S8's speed.
