The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is a tempting upgrade. It comes loaded with tons of new features and enhancements including Doze, a feature that should help you conserve battery life on your Nexus 5. 

There are also a few reasons why you might want to take a raincheck on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, at least for the time being. 

If you haven't prepared for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, you might want to think about waiting until you can properly prepare your phone, and your brain, for its arrival. 

If you have an important business meeting or school project coming up in the near future, we recommend waiting until its complete. Apps can sometimes be wonky after a major system upgrade and you don't want to be dealing with headaches day of. 

You also might want to skip Android 6.0 Marshmallow if you're feeling leery about problems. If you're having a great experience on Android 5.1.1 or below, you might want to wait for Android 6.0.1 to arrive. Android 6.0.1 is unconfirmed but Google always releases an initial update that stabilizes its new software.
