The iOS 9 update excels in many key areas including battery life. Having great battery life is essential and the iOS 9 update's focus on maintaining and improving battery life is one of the reasons why we think you'll absolutely love it. 

We've already noticed tangible battery life gains on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5. In particular, the iPhone 5's standby battery mode is much better than iOS 8 standby mode. iOS 8 drained much faster when the phone wasn't in use.
