EA was heavily criticized for its approach to microtransactions in Star Wars Battlefront 2 so it obviously won't be taking the same approach with Battlefield 5. In a recent interview with The Verge, EA executive Patrick Söderlund says the company learned from the mistakes it made with Star Wars Battlefront 2's controversial loot system. Acccording to Söderlund for "games that come next, for Battlefield or for Anthem" gamers have "made it very clear that we can’t afford to make similar mistakes. And we won’t." EA says Battlefield 5 won't come with any "pay to win" features and won't include Battlepacks like the ones in Battlefield 1. The company's confirmed two forms of in-game currency. One is called Grind Currency which can be earned by playing the game. The other form is called Real-Money (Premium) Currency which players can buy to obtain cosmetic items for use in the game. | ||||||||||||||

Exciting that the game is almost out now! Might not be a bad deal to sign up for that EA thing for a month just to get early access for an extra week. Though I don’t like the idea that that means they are basically charging $10 or whatever for early access. Even if it is indirect. Anyway, anybody have recommendations on the best deal for a video card for Battlefield 5? Does the GTX 1060 card around $200 listed here: https://daydull.com/gaming/battlefield-v-graphics-card-recommendations-benchmarks-the-best-gpu-deals-for-bf5/ look like a good deal? During beta it was pretty choppy so I need to upgrade. Supposedly I should be able to get a solid framerate with max settings with that, right?
