If you aren't able to snag a ticket to EA Play 2018 or if you're simply unable to make the trip out to California, you'll still be able to to play Battlefield 5 before it launches for your console. EA DICE typically host public betas in an effort to squash bugs and hype the game up ahead of the holidays. It'll do the same this year with Battlefield 5. An open Battlefield 5 beta is confirmed and it'll launch sometime before the game's arrival in October. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game will get early access to Battlefield 5's open beta. The open Battlefield 1 beta started on August 31st, shortly after DICE debuted new Battlefield 1 footage at Gamescom in mid-August. This year Gamescom stretches from August 21 to August 25 and we could see EA and DICE make some crucial Battlefield 5 announcements there if a firm beta date isn't confirmed on stage in June. DICE's betas are typically just a small piece of the game and the focus is usually on the multiplayer portion of the game. | ||||||||||||||

Exciting that the game is almost out now! Might not be a bad deal to sign up for that EA thing for a month just to get early access for an extra week. Though I don’t like the idea that that means they are basically charging $10 or whatever for early access. Even if it is indirect. Anyway, anybody have recommendations on the best deal for a video card for Battlefield 5? Does the GTX 1060 card around $200 listed here: https://daydull.com/gaming/battlefield-v-graphics-card-recommendations-benchmarks-the-best-gpu-deals-for-bf5/ look like a good deal? During beta it was pretty choppy so I need to upgrade. Supposedly I should be able to get a solid framerate with max settings with that, right?
