Smart Lock

Once you've enabled a screen lock other than the "swipe" method, there's a new Smart Lock option in the security tab under settings. Smart lock will let you set trusted places, a trusted face, or even trusted Bluetooth or NFC devices. Meaning if your phone is connected to your Moto 360 smartwatch or your car stereo, set it as a Smart Lock place and your lockscreen security will be disabled.

Meaning you won't have to unlock your device while in range of these devices or while driving, and the same can be done with your face, or a new Trusted Places option where it'll disable the screen lock when your phone is at your house. Or whever you set as a trusted place, of course.

These are all lollipop features. This article is poorly titled, there are no nexus 6 specific features. Just lollipop features.
