Samsung Galaxy S5 Pre-Orders Start at AT&T

The Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders are live on AT&T with a $0 down option for users that plan to buy the new phone on a AT&T Next plan. Buyers can order online and get a chance to get the Galaxy S5 early as orders will ship on April 8th, several days ahead of the global Galaxy S5 release date of April 11th.

In addition to the Galaxy S5, AT&T is taking Gear 2 and Gear Fit pre-orders that will ship on April 8th as well. The new fitness accessories work with the Galaxy S5 and many other recent Samsung smartphones like the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3 and others.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a the successor to the Galaxy S4, with a larger 5.1-inch 108P HD display, a pulse tracker, fingerprint reader, improved 16MP camera with faster focus and special modes as well as software to maximize the battery life of the new phone. The phone features a water-resistant design and a removable back.

AT&T is only selling the Galaxy S5 in black and white color options and only offers a 16GB model, which is a disappointment to some users, but there is a Micro SD card slot that supports up to a 128GB Micro SD card to store photos on.

The AT&T Galaxy S5 price is $199 on a standard two year contract. This is a good option for users that want a traditional experience, but for users that want to pay less up front AT&T is here with a $0 down option and a discount on your monthly bill if you pay for the phone with an installment plan.

The Galaxy S5 price on AT&T is $32.50 a month on a 12 month payment plan and $25  a month on a 18 month payment plan. Users on a 10GB shared data plan can save up to $25 a month on their service which helps keep the overall cost of upgrading to the Galaxy S5 in check.

The best place to go for the AT&T Galaxy S5 pre-order is direct through AT&T online. Best Buy is offering an AT&T Galaxy S5 pre-order,but is charging $30 more for the device on a two-year contract, without giving users anything additional for the price. Best Buy also only carries the 16GB Galaxy S5 in white and black.
