Nexus 9 Deal Delivers Huge Discount

Published

Since being released in November we’ve seen a few Nexus 9 deals surface here and there, but most don’t last very long or were holiday specials during Black Friday. If you’re still in the market for a new Android tablet, this week another Nexus 9 deal has emerged offering a big discount for potential buyers.

Google’s Nexus 9 was released on November 3rd, and we’ve seen a few good deals since then. The first deal arrived the day after its release, and even Best buy offered it for $100 off in the form of a gift card at one point. Today though, Office Depot is offering the tablet for $50 off, and yesterday it was $80 off costing just $319.

Back in December Amazon dropped the Nexus 9 price for buyers, and we saw a similar deal from them in January. Offering Google’s impressive Nexus 9 tablet for $50 off. That deal is long gone though, but for those still looking to snag a Nexus 9 without paying full price, we have all the details for you below.

This week Office Depot has been running a pretty good discount on the Nexus 9 tablet, but the deal was set to end yesterday according to their website. The $80 savings is now gone, but buyers will be happy to know that Office Depot is still offering $50 off both the 16 and 32GB Nexus 9. Meaning those looking to grab the $399 16GB model can get one for $349, and the $479 price tag on the 32GB has been dropped to just $429. They’re also offering free shipping.

This means that for $29 more than most users were expecting to pay for the 16GB Nexus 9, you can get a 32GB instead and have more storage room for apps, games, music, videos and much much more.

Prices on the Nexus 9 are at the top of the spectrum when it comes to pricing for Google’s Nexus smartphones and tablets, but the Nexus 9 is one of their best yet. Offering some stunning specs on an impressive 8.9-inch screen, and running the new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop software release.

Google’s new Nexus 9 is the first tablet from HTC in years, offering a new 4:3 aspect ratio similar to iPad’s vs the long and skinny look of all previous Android tablets, and is one of the better Android tablets available today. Here’s a recap of the specs for those considering this well-rounded tablet.

Nexus 9 Specs

  • 8.9-inch 2048×1536 Full HD display (4:3 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 3)
  • NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM (64-bit)
  • 16/32GB storage configurations
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop (now Android 5.0.1 Lollipop)
  • 8 Megapixel Rear and 1.6 MP front camera
  • Brushed Aluminum frame, soft touch matte design
  • Dual HTC Boomsound front facing speakers
  • 6,700 mAh battery
  • White, Black, and Sand color options
  • 228.25mm x 153.68mm x 7.95mm and 425 grams

The Nexus 9 has plenty to offer, especially while at a discount. It’s the first tablet running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and looks to be the tablet that will receive updates first for the foreseeable future. The large quad-HD display and dual-front facing speakers makes for excellent video playback with YouTube or Netflix, and it has more than enough power for all your Android gaming needs.

Getting the 32GB version for $50 off makes it an enticing Nexus 9 deal that many buyers won’t want to miss. Again, it won’t last long, so you better hurry before they’re all gone. Office Depot states this deal will be good from now until March 7th, so buyers have a few days to decide if it’s right for them. They’re also offering a 20% off coupon for online orders, which could lower the price even more.

Again, the deal only lasts until 3/7/2015 so you better hurry if you’re looking to snag the Nexus 9 while it’s at such a great price. We’re hearing a new Android 5.1 Lollipop update is coming soon too, and you can bet the Nexus 9 will be one of the first tablets to receive the latest and greatest software.
