The 2018 Chevy Equinox starts at $24,525 for the entry-level model that includes keyless entry, push button start, Chevy My Link and a rear vision camera.

Chevrolet offers four trim levels with front wheel drive available on all trims and all wheel drive on the LS, LT, and Premier trim levels. Upgrading to all-wheel drive adds $3,680 to the price of the Equinox.

The 2018 Chevy Equinox LS is $26,455 and adds a spare tire, carpeted rear floor mats, a compass and you can add an optional Interior Protection Package and a keyless entry keypad.

At $27.695, the 2018 Equinox LT adds HID head lights, a power driver seat with lumbar, heated power-adjustable mirrors with body color and mechanical seat release levers for the rear seat. This trim level includes support for a roof rack and an optional Confidence & Convenience Package, plus a Sun & Infotainment Package.

The 2018 Equinox Premier is the top of the line Equinox model and starts at $31,735. This includes the LT features as well as the following features and options.

  • Leather heated seats with driver memory
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert
  • Hands free power liftgate
  • 18″ bright aluminum wheels
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control air conditioning
  • Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 8″ diagonal color-touch screen

  • Inside rearview auto-dimming mirrors

  • Outside heated power-adjustable and auto-dimming body-color manual-folding mirrors, with turn signal indicators, chrome mirror caps

We don’t know the exact 2018 Equinox Diesel price and options at this time. Expect to learn more this summer.

2018 Chevy Equinox Colors

There are 12 2018 Chevy Equinox colors, four of which are premium 2018 Equinox colors. Chevy offers three interior color options. Not all color options are available on all trim levels. If you opt for the 2018 Equinox Premier you unlock all the color options. Here are the standard Chevy Equinox colors;

  • Mosaic Black Metallic
  • Nightfall Gray Metallic
  • Pepperdust Metallic
  • Sandy Ridge Metallic
  • Satin Steel Metallic
  • Silver Ice Metallic
  • Storm Blue Metallic
  • Summit White

Four premium Equinox colors are available for an extra $395 to $995 and vary based on the trim level you choose. These are;

  • Cajun Red Tintcoat
  • Ivy Metallic
  • Orange Burst Metallic
  • Iridescent Pearl Tricoat

The Tricoat is only available on the Equinox LT and Premier trim levels and is a $995 upgrade.

Three interior color options are available, though the Equinox L and Equinox LS only come with one interior option. On the LT and Premier, you can choose from three different interior color combinations. The LT offers cloth seats while the premier is perforated leather.

This is the 2018 Chevy Equinox Redline special edition.

So far we only know about one 2018 Equinox special edition. The Redline Series is available on the 2018 Equinox LT with unique visual upgrades. This model is not available with the diesel engine or with a sunroof. Here’s what you get with the 2018 Equinox LT Redline;

  • Black Mirror Caps
  • Black Window Trim
  • Black Bowties

The 2018 Equinox Redline special edition is available in October 2017. There is no specific Equinox Redline price yet, but it will at the least start at $27,695.

Do you hate constantly adjusting your cruise control, or giving up on cruise control because of traffic or due to a driver in front of you who keeps changing speed? You need a smart cruise control system.

Smart cruise control goes by many different names. You may see it listed as Radar Cruise, Adaptive Cruise or Intelligent Cruise control. Whatever it is called, it will allow you to set your cruise control and then stay with the flow of slower traffic.

Here's why we love it and why you need it. You get on the highway and set the cruise at 76 miles per hour. You also set the distance you want kept between you and the car in front of you. There are typically three or four settings so you can be close or keep a lot of space. Now you simply steer and your car will go 76 mile per hour when traffic allows it or there is no one in front of you. When someone is in front of you going 73 mph, the car automatically slows down to keep you the distance you choose from that car. This is indispensable in traffic and on long road trips. 

Not all smart cruise control systems are the same. Some of work at all speeds, while others only work above a specific limit. Some systems can bring you to a complete stop in traffic and then restart without you needing to touch a pedal. 

You can find adaptive cruise control on cars as cheap as $18,500 like the Toyota Corolla, and as an option on many cars below $30,000. Even on pricier cars you may need a higher trim level or special package to get this feature.
