Don't Install While Traveling

If you're preparing to travel (for business or for pleasure) or if you're in the midst of traveling, you should think about avoiding the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo beta.

This is a beta and beta's are always plagued with bugs. There's also a chance the beta bricks your device or wipes data stored on your phone.

We've spoken to beta users over the years who've been left with a busted device/app/service because they updated to a beta.

A functioning phone is important when you're traveling in a place you've never been before or if you're on an important business trip with colleagues.

If your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ is your only phone, it's a good idea to keep it on official software for the duration of your trip.

If you really want to try Android 8.0 Oreo, wait to do the upgrade until you get back to your base of operations. For some of you, that might be the hotel room. For others, that might be your house or apartment.

There's no reason to jeopardize a fun family trip or an important business meeting for pre-release software.

support team Hi. I’m Adina from Iran. I have a Samsung mobile phone that has a Galaxy S6 model. When I bought Android, I was upgrading to the 5 lollipop, which was gradually upgraded to 6 and 7. I plan to update 7.1.1 or Android O, but I’m sorry to say that Samsung’s representative in Iran does not provide good support. I also contacted your representative in the United States, but they tell me that our information is limited to American phones. I wanted to know if you might be using ota on Android 7.1.1 Or send me the Android 8? I’d love to have this version of Android on my phone. Give me some guidance. Thank you samsung galaxy s6
