4 Great Xbox One & PS4 Games & Updates for July 2015

Every medium has a general area in the calendar year where things slow down. As far as video games are concerned, that’s the summer months. After a busy fall of releasing Xbox One, Wii U and PS4 games developers pack it in, choosing to focus on development so that their holiday games launch on time during the winter months.

This summer hasn’t exactly deviated from that regular pattern. Batman: Arkham Knight launched late last month temporarily providing some much needed excitement to kick off the summer. Video game developer Rocksteady Studios plans on updating that game monthly for those who have a season pass. Outside of Batman, it’s going to be a slow summer filled with add-ons and upgrades for the titles gamers already have.

Even if you only buy 3-4 games a year you'll save with Gamers Club Unlocked.

Here’s 4 Xbox One and PS4 games and updates you can expect to launch this month. Not all of these are entirely new experiences, but they should help hold you over until more Xbox One and PS4 games arrive this fall in the case of Halo 5: Guardians and next year for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy (PS4 & PS3) - July 2nd

At E3 2015 Sony and video game developer Activision revealed that they’d entered into a partnership that would see Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 content arrive on the PS4 and PS3 gaming consoles long before it arrives on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Xbox 360. The deal actually mirrors the current situation with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare content.

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC launched on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 roughly a month ago. On July 2nd the maps and upgrades pack finally becomes available to PlayStation gamers. The Supremacy DLC adds four new map: Skyrise, Parliament, Kremlin and Compound. The upgrade also includes access to the third chapter in the Exo Zombies separate campaign, complete with a new character to play as and some new weapons. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC costs $14.99, but is free to anyone who already purchased the game’s Season Pass.
