Install Android Oreo for Picture-in-Picture

One of our favorite features from the Android O Developer Preview is available in the final Android Oreo release for the Nexus 5X.

Google's Android TV featured PIP mode with Nougat but the feature has now moved to the rest of Android in Oreo.

Picture-in-Picture is exactly what you're picturing in your head. This function will allow you to see two applications on screen at once.

For instance, you can take video calls in an app like Google Duo (it'll minimize the app and show the person in a small box) while browsing the web or playing select games. Oreo allows you to move the windows around your screen and you can make it smaller or larger depending on the situation.

It's not going to work properly with every single app right now, developers will have to build the PIP function into their apps, but we expect to see support trickle out to various apps in 2017 and beyond.

If you love to multi-task, you're going to love this feature on your Nexus 5X.
