Run Two Apps at Once

Run Two Apps at Once

Samsung devices allow for owners to run two apps at the same time. Like checking emails and browsing the web or watching YouTube at the same time. Many don't know about it enough to make it useful, but it can turn anyone into a power user in an instant.

Simply open an app like Gmail or Google Chrome, then hit the multi-tasking button to the left of the home key. This shows all currently open and running apps to quickly switch between on the fly. However, many of them will have a little dual window box with two rectangles on it like pictured above.

This turns on multi-screen mode. Then select a second app and you’ll have two apps open simultaneously. You can even drag one window to be bigger than the other. Read emails while watching a video, or watch a how-to while reading instructions from the web browser. It’s very useful.

Can I also add my spouse to the fingerprint scan? So we’re both able to use the device?

Google Now gets it wrong so often that it is useless. When did you ever hear anyone use it? Never.

I normally do not leave comments, but thank you for this helpful list! It informed me on things I didn’t know my phone could do, such as the SOS feature.
