5 Best Sprint Smartphones [April, 2014]

As we move deeper into the new year, carriers like Sprint are starting refresh their smartphone lineups with brand new devices. And while this means more choice, it also means that those in the hunt for a new smartphone could have a harder time narrowing down their options. With that in mind, we want to offer up what we think represent the five best Sprint smartphones for this month.

Choosing a new smartphone can be an extremely difficult task, especially for those that don’t keep up with the smartphone world. It’s a fast paced world that can be extremely hard to navigate. And while the first three months of the year were slower than usual, things have picked up again in a big way.

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen two of the biggest names of the year arrive. In February, it was the Samsung Galaxy S5. In March, it was the all new HTC One M8, a device that has quickly replaced the HTC One as HTC’s flagship smartphone option on carriers inside the United States. And now that these devices are here, they’ve shaken up carrier lineups and given consumers two more options to look at.

Those looking at Sprint, the only major U.S. carrier that still offers pure unlimited data to new customers, will be happy to know that both of these devices will run on the Now Network’s 4G LTE network. And while their arrival is fantastic, they could also complicate things for those who are unfamiliar with Sprint’s crop of smartphones.

Here, in an effort to help those who might need some help this month, we breakdown the devices we think are the five best Sprint smartphones for the month of April, 2014.

Our list may differ from yours but these are the devices that Gotta Be Mobile editors have selected for recognition this month. We feel like they deliver the best, all-around package at the moment. Something else to keep in mind is that this list will change month-to-month as more devices get released.

Apple's iPhone 5s is still one of the best smartphones on Sprint and will probably remain on this list all the way up until the 2014 iPhone hits shelves. It's that good.

The iPhone 5s is a great, all-around smartphone and excels in the key areas including display, camera, processor, and software. Apple also typically offers three years of software support which means that the iPhone 5s should be getting three updates in the future.

Its price probably won't fluctuate in April but those that buy it on Sprint can buy it knowing that it will be a device that will last through a two year contract and beyond.

Quick correction, through Google Play the 16GB Nexus 5 is $349, the unactivated price through Sprint is $399. The wording, at least to me made it seem like the phone through Google Play was $399.
