The 5 Best Sprint Smartphones [October, 2013]

With the holiday shopping season almost here, many shoppers are going to be looking into a new smartphone. Specifically, many shoppers will be looking to head to Sprint’s Now Network to take advantage of its growing 4G LTE network and its pure unlimited data plans. Fortunately, Sprint will have a ton of options to choose from. Unfortunately, the carriers selection will make it hard for shoppers trying to find a new phone in October.

Sprint, the nation’s third largest carrier, has spent 2013 growing its 4G LTE network, a network that it hopes will be finished sometime in 2014. The carrier is still behind AT&T and Verizon and is now getting competition from T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network, but it remains committed to getting its network out across the country to customers new and old.

The carrier also remains a solid destination for customers who want to sign a new contract and lock into pure, unlimited data. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have shifted away from pure unlimited data with throttled and shared data plans now the norm leaving Sprint as the only option for those that wish to sign a new contract and take advantage of something that used to be commonplace.

Many consumers are likely eying Sprint, thanks to its growing LTE network, thanks to unlimited data and thanks to the fact that it has a number of high end devices available for those in the hunt for something new. Sprint, like the other major carriers in the United States, has a wealth of smartphone options available to consumers.

This is a great thing, nobody dislikes having fantastic options, but it’s also a bad thing as it makes picking out a great smartphone a challenging process. Like all carriers though, Sprint has some devices that are better than others and here, we relay the five devices we think comprise the five best Sprint smartphones for the month of October, 2013.

Those looking for a new smartphone on Sprint should have the iPhone 5s on their shopping list. Simply put, it's one of the best smartphones on the Now Network.

Last month, Apple delivered a brand new iPhone, dubbed iPhone 5s, that takes over for the iPhone 5 with new colors, an upgraded camera, a better processor, and a new fingerprint reader for added security. It is considered, by many, to be the best iPhone yet and thus, it deserves a place at the top of any shopping list.

The price won't drop any time soon but buyers can sign up for a new two-year contract with Apple knowing that it will last through the duration of a contract thanks to Apple's stellar software support.

“AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have shifted away from pure unlimited data with throttled and shared data plans”. Sorry Adam, however you are incorrect. Tmobile did away with throttling and now offer truly unlimited as well. If that is not the case and I am incorrect, would appreciate clarification from you.

Who ever made this list needs to re evaluate. One the LG G2 is not even out yet on Sprint so the moto x can’t win and 2 the LG G2 at least on Sprint wins against all of these phones by default because its the first triband LTE phone on Sprint while none of these devices you just mentioned will have triband LTE only 1900 LTE. So in data speed, coverage and reliability no phone on sprint will touch the G2. It doesn’t matter how much you don’t like the phone if it can’t take full advantage of network vision when its complete. Maybe I should be writing instead of you.
