The iPad mini with Retina Display is a smaller version of the iPad Air. Instead of a 9.7-inch display, it features a 7.9-inch display that makes it even more portable than Apple's larger model. Furthermore, it finally features a Retina Display, something that enhances the quality of content over the quality found on the original iPad mini. It also comes packing hardware upgrades including a better camera, and like the iPad Air, it will get years of software support. Apple upped the price a little bit but in our opinion, those who do invest the money will come away with a product that will last a number of years. It's that good. | ||||||

None of these are anywhere near the best tablets. Android and iOS tablets have very limited functionality. You can nost install true desktop programs like Cisco Packet Tracer for example on them. I believe that Windows 8/8.1 tablets are the best due to their functionality and what they can do.
Apple should follow suit and make a hybrid tablet/laptop that runs OS X.

You left out a great tablet: the Sony Xperia. Yo have to try it. Don’t just go by the reviews. I had it for a month and it has replaced my ipad air and Samsung 10.1

I agree with Fulaman. Android tablets do have limited functionality and their aesthetics are ugly. The interface which looks horrible on tablets looks like a blowed up phone UI. On the other hand I believe the Surface 2 and Pro should be listed being the most productive tablets. Their UI has been optimized for use on tablets and I believe the iPad air is not far behind and it even might be equal to the Surface 2. Even though it is not as productive it is a refined, perfected tablet the same as the Microsoft Surface. Microsoft Surface Pro’s can run desktop programs and the Surface 2 has Microsoft Office built in. Microsoft has premium services such as OneDrive, Outlook,Bing,Skype,IE11, and Microsoft Office which are way better than Google’s services. Apple provides similar in quality. However, Microsoft has created a true synced environment with Windows 8.1 on your computer and your tablet and Windows Phone on your phone and Xbox on your TV all in sync and running similar UI which is a bonus point. If you think about it the closest company who has such ecosystem could be be Sony but they do not use it to their advantage.
